The Utah Rocket Club's annual holiday party takes place on Monday, December 11th at 7pm. This year the party will be at Archibald's Restaurant located at Gardner Village in West Jordan. This party is for UROC members and their family.
Meal Choices include:
Each person also receives their choice of "Archibald's Carrot Cake" or "Death by Chocolate cake" for dessert.
Children 12 and under can pick any of the items available on the restaurants children's menu on the night of the banquet.
The Christmas Odd-Roc contest is once again a GO as well so get those entries put together. Remember, your creation has to be able to fly as a rocket and recover safely (or at least look like it will). The winner will be determined by public vote and there will be an adult and a children's winner. The rocket must be new to the contest (not entered in previous years) and can celebrate any winter holiday you like.
This party is a great chance to take a look back at this year's fun and to look forward to next year. This will also be a great time to meet your 2017 UROC officers. In addition to your contest entry, bring your memories from this year's events, feel free to share them with the group. There will also be some fun games and prizes to be won as well.
It's the heart of Gardner Village and where our story began. Archibald’s Restaurant is located in a historic flour mill that was built in 1877 by one of the original pioneer settlers to the Salt Lake Valley, Archibald Gardner. The mill was originally powered by a turbin driven water and many of the original equipment remains today. The mill is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a special part of Utah’s history. If you’re looking for a unique dining experience rich in history and great food, Archibald’s in the place.
Archibald’s Restaurant opened in 1990 and serves lunch and dinner. It has a delicious menu serving a variety of dishes. Salads, sandwiches, pastas, steaks and seafood to name a few. The pot roast in pan dripping gravy has been a staple for over 25 years. You absolutely won’t want to miss our legendary fried green tomatoes and breaded avocados. For dessert, the carrot cake and white chocolate pudding are a must. Archibald’s also has a wine and beer menu. Pay us a visit, and you’ll feel as if you’ve stepped back in time as you mill around in a restaurant unlike any other in Utah.
