Go up to the \"Launches\" menu, select \"Contests\" and finally, \"Rules\". This will link you to the NAR's pink book. There you will find the official definitions and critrea for each of the contests listed.

I plan on being able to compete for the first time come this October and I have a really simple question. . . What is the difference between Boost Glider and Rocket Glider???

Well, the NAR events were voted on and the events are finalized for October and are as follows:

A Parachute Duration
B Streamer Duration
B Helicopter Duration
B Boost Glider
Open Spot Landing
Science/Future Fiction Scale

I will post some tips and places to buy kits for these events in the near future.

Keep Flying High!

My only recommendation: change A Rocket Glider to B Boost Glider, then A Streamer to B Streamer.
Reason: Better selection of B motors for both events. The glider needs the shorter 2-second delay and the streamer requires a 6-second delay, none of which are available in mini-A motors.

Keep Future Fiction Scale, now that we have a better idea of what to do. We can always try sport scale next May (perhaps Giant?)

Definitely I would like a helicopter event and a scale event. Many times we move back to sport scale after a future fiction scale. I cannot guarantee my participation level but will very likely have a scale entry.

WHAT! Talking events for October already? Sure. Most people would like plenty of time to build for events. The October NAR contest roundup that I am proposing is as follows:

A Parachute Duration
A Streamer Duration
B Helicopter Duration
A Rocket Glider
Open Spot Landing
Science Fiction Scale

These are not finalized yet. There are commercially available kits for every event here. Let me know which events you are interested in and I will describe the event and which kits can be used. Or you can design your own.
