SanPete County Fly-in Nears Featured

The SanPete County Fly-In is approaching soon. UROC has been asked to put on a display of rockets and equipment at the event on Saturday June 5th. We'll also be presenting two small demonstration launch events at the airport that day as well.

There have been many people that have expressed an interest in helping out with this event. I'd ask that you contact me as soon as possible so we can make the appropriate arrangements. Of particular importance, we'll need people that can fly some demo flights of (H and under rockets) and can help man the booth.

Here is a list of the schedule for the event on June 5th.

9:00 RC open flying
9:45 Jet Cat, Pilot: Ken Fiala
10:00 Helicopter show, Pilot: Matt Parkin
10:15 Utah Rocket Club demonstration
10:30 RC open flying
10:30 AMA wire-control show
11:00 Spirit of Utah aerobatic team
12:00 Jet Cat, Pilot: Ken Fiala
12:15 Helicopter show, Pilot: Matt Parkin
12:30 Utah Rocket Club demonstration
12:45 AMA wire-control show
12:30 RC open flying
RC drag races & monster trucks run all day 'till 2:00

As you can see, there'll be lots of fun stuff to watch through out the day. So, please, make it a point to come on out.

To get there, take I-15 south and exit at Spanish Fork for Hwy 6 (like you were going to Price)  About a mile after the summit, turn right on hwy 89, then it's about 35 miles to Mt Pleasant.  The airport is 1/2 mile south of town on the west side of hwy 89.

Contact us with any questions, suggestions, comments, etc. regarding UROC's participation and make sure to let us know if you are planning on attending and helping so we know what resources we'll have available.
