Rocket Build Night at Some Dudes!

Some Dude's Hobby Shop is sponsoring a rocket build night, Thursday, February 16, 2006. and a contest for the rockets built the following weekend. Some Dude's will host the build night at their place of business, 7946 South State Street, Midvale. It will start at 6:30 and run till about 9:00 PM. Refreshments will be provided. The build party is for anyone who wants to learn, teach, or just BS about rockets.

The contest is for the most impressive flight of an Estes Fat Boy. The rules are simple. the exterior must be stock, reinforcing the exterior is allowed. the motor mound and inside can be altered. The Fat Boy must be purchased from Some Dude's. The rocket must fly and recover safely, (think cert flight.)

The judge(s) will consider the age of the builder, altitude, etc. in evaluating the "impressiveness" of the flight. The judge(s)'s decision is final. First prize is a LOC Graduator.

Some Dude's will have build supplies for sale as well as Fat Boy Kits for just $10.00. each! You can build it at the party or take it home for those top secret modifications.
