August 2006 Launch Cancelled

cancelledBased on the current fire conditions for the area where the Pony Express Test Range is located, UROC's August Sport Launch has been cancelled. There are no plans to reschedule the event, instead we'll all look forward to getting back in the sky in September.

Although a launch cancellation is always disappointing, it is not unknown to UROC. Most years we end up cancelling the July and/or August launches on the Pony Express Test Range due to fire conditions. The danger is just too high and our relationship with the BLM is too valuable to risk. If you have any questions regarding this decision, club president This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.  will be happy to discuss in further detail.
