Museum Class to Attend Launch

youthclassesmain.jpgThis Saturday, Frank Whitby will be out at the launch to help the kids from the Museum Rocket class launch the rockets that they built in the class. According to Frank the rocket class went really well. Jim Yehle,  Tobin Yehle, and Frank helped the kids build a mid-power rocket, "the Binder Design Gangsta."  which is a 29mm motor mount based rocket that should fly well on an F or G motor.

In the class the kids learned how to build the rockets, and then tested the stability afterwords with a swing test.  The group of kids was really great and at least one of the families from the class seemed very interested in getting involved in the club, as the father was a rocketeer from way back. Frank is expecting to launch this Saturday.  The kids should come out late morning or noon-ish. Frank will be there to assist them.

As always, if you are planning on coming out to the launch make sure to check this site for any last minute updates or cancellations.
