UROC Election Night

voteIt is once again time to elect your UROC officers. The officers that we've had over the past year have been great and have worked very hard to maintain and improve the club we all enjoy.  This yearly election is the way for you to voice your opinion on how the club should proceed in the next year. Please try to attend this important meeting.

Nominations have been open since the December Christmas party and have been minimal at best.  People can still be nominated for any of the positions listed  at the January meeting prior to the elections. They must be able to confirm that they are willing to accept the nomination and ultimately, the position if they win.

Keep in mind that anyone that is running for any of the positions will be expected to make some kind of brief statement regarding their qualifications and plans if elected during the January meeting. If a nominee cannot be at the meeting but still wants to run for an office they should provide (through private messaging or email) their phone information to the president. This is so the nominee can be contacted during the elections to present their platform.

Here are the current nominations for each position up for election. At this late date, any new nominations will be announced at the January meeting.

  • President (currently Bruce Bell - not running again)
    Neal Baker
  • Vice President (currently Jim Yehle - not running again)
    Doug Robinson
  • Secretary (currently Dave Urbanek - not running again)
    No nominees at this time
  • Treasurer (currently Dot Hunt )
    Dot Hunt

The 2008 UROC officer elections will include elections for the following positions and will take place on Monday, January 14th, at 7:00pm. They will be held in room N1100 of the Salt Lake County Complex (2001 S State).
