Help Scouts Reach New Heights

Coming up in a few weeks is the Provo Peak District's part of ScoutJam 100 and UROC has been asked to help with ScoutJam's Space Exploration merit badge class.

ScoutJam 100 is happening at the Wasatch County Event Center, Oct 10-12.  There are going to be a lot of activities for the scouts including classes where scouts can earn significant parts of several merit badges.  Class sessions are as follows:

                   Friday, Oct 11, 9am-noon

                   Friday, Oct 11, 1pm-4pm

                   Saturday, Oct 12, 9am-noon

Each Space Exploration class is being offered to a maximum of 48 boys/session.  The objective is to help the boys earn as much of the Space Exploration merit badge as they possibly, effectively can during one three hour class.

What they need is people willing to help, they are looking for someone to head this activity, someone to help set expectations for the activity, and people available to help at each session.  There is no monetary remuneration for this activity, but a lot of satisfaction and gratitude.  Additionally, a nice camping area is reserved for class leaders and breakfast and lunch on Friday and breakfast on Saturday are provided.

More information about the ScoutJam 100 can be found here
