October Research Launch Status

Kim David prepping her rocket Kim David prepping her rocket Derek David

The weather has shifted from hot and dry to cool and moist. Our permit is in place once again and we are scheduled to be flying on the 18th of October! There are a few items that are important for you to know.

We are planning on having a porta-potty on site.

We do have a Trailer Wrangler now.

We do NOT have a volunteer yet to tow the trailer out to the launch site. If you are interested in helping out with this please contact Heather immediately. You can reach her at 801-953-0516. You need to have at least a 1/2 ton vehicle (Ford F150, Tacoma T-100, etc) to pull the trailer. No special brakes are required. We would need a commitment to pick trailer up and return it when the launch is completed. Heather can give you all of the details.

It appears at this time that the Tripoli Prefect will NOT be onsite for this launch. You can reach the Tripoli Prefect (Tim Boschert) at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and you can reach the NAR Advisor (Randall Redd) at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

With Tim being will be out of town, we will not have a motor vendor onsite for this launch. Hopefully you pre-purchased your needed motors at the UROC meeting earlier this week.

Make sure to pack warm, it is expected to be cool out there.

Make sure to check www.uroc.org prior to driving out to the site in case of any last minute cancellations.
