Upcoming UROC 2015 Officer Elections

UROC Officer Elections 2015 UROC Officer Elections 2015
It is time to elect your UROC officers for 2015. Nominations will remain open until they are closed by our residing president (Ken Park) during the November General UROC meeting scheduled for Monday, November 10th at 7:00pm.  The meeting will take place at the Salt Lake County Complex at 2001 South State Street in room N1100.

This is your opportunity to improve and build a stronger club. We have a diverse group of people and interests. It takes a good team to keep them all active and interested in UROC. If you can help out please, consider running for an office. If you have questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the current President for clarification.

Once the nominations have been closed the actual elections will occur, this will include a brief platform statement by each candidate.  The new officer's actual appointments will begin during the January 2015 UROC Member's meeting.

Keep in mind that anyone that is running for any of the positions will be expected to make some kind of brief statement regarding their qualifications and plans. If a nominee cannot be at the meeting but still wants to run for an office they should provide (through private messaging or email) their phone information to the president. This is so the nominee can be contacted during the elections to present their platform.

All positions listed below are open for nominations and we encourage you to consider running for any of these. Years of rocketry experience is not a requirement, rather the ability to come up with new ideas, solutions, and ways to improve the club are the skills needed.

Positions that are up for election:

  • President (Currently Ken Park)
  • Vice President (Currently Jim Buchmiller)
  • Secretary (Currently Heather Park)
  • Treasurer (Currently Dave Spencer)
