UROC Launches are on Hold Until Further Notice.

Toxic Waste Dumped at FHF Toxic Waste Dumped at FHF Heather Park
Rocketeers attending January's Frozen Finger Fun Flyat th UROC launch site called "Frank Hunt Field" discovered that the site hat been used as an illegal toxic waste dump sometime in the past couple of months.
When this was discovered UROC president Ken Park immediately notified the BLM and they have had agents out to investigate this criminal act. The site has been littered with toxic chemicals in large containers that must be removed and addressed by a qualified toxic waste disposal team. The BLM is in the process of putting the cleanup out to bid to their approved companies to clean the site up.
Unfortunately this process can take a long time and the site is unusable until such time that the waste has been cleaned up. For the time being we are without our launch site. We are unsure for how long so in response UROC has already begun searching for an alternative launch site that will work for our flyers, the BLM, and the FAA.
It is all of our (everyone's) responsibility to prevent these types of gross mis-uses of our public lands that not only affect our sport but the wildlife and plant life in the area.

We will keep you appraised of the situation as it progresses.
