The March 21st UROC Sport launch took place as scheduled and was a great time. Set up began early in the morning and by 10am the safety meeting had been held, the range had been walked and the first rockets of the day were on their way up. All of the UROC members that assisted in making this launch work are to be commended. UROC prez Ken Park did a super job of providing the safety talk and generally making sure the launch went off without too many hitches.UROC secretary Heather Park provided support as well.
There were a number of flights ranging from A to K and was definitely a great kickoff for the flying season. Plenty of motors and ways to spend your money were available thanks to Tim Boschert and his Das Rockets Hobbies. The weather cooperated for most of the morning but by 2:00 the wind not surprisingly was starting to pickup. The launch finished up around 3:00. There were some great flights and the weather could not have been much better.
Thanks go to all those that helped with range duty, setup, and tear down you did great!
"We would normally ask for you to upload your pics and vids of the event but that section of the site isn't back up yet. So, hang on to them and we'll have a great new gallery shortly. In the meantime, please feel free to share your pictures on the UROC group on Facebook"
