UROC is Section 523 of the National Association of Rocketry and the Tripoli Rocketry Association's Utah Prefecture. Through our affiliation with both of these respected National organizations UROC has a great launch capability. The hobby's excellent safety record is solidly rooted in a successful Safety Code program. The NAR and Tripoli Safety Codes are made up of simple, common-sense rules and guidelines. UROC Launches are held in strict accordance to these codes. Certain launches will be held under certain codes dependant on the event's primary purpose. For example, a Sport launch which usually hosts model rockets, mid-power, and some high power launches would typically be held under the NAR Model and High Power codes. A Research Launch would be held under the Tripoli Research Safety code. Please check with a UROC officer if you are unsure or have any questions regarding this policy: |
