Utah Rocket Club's - Red Rocks Rocket Launch (R3) will be taking place in the Green River/Moab area in Utah. You can fly your projects up to 100 thousand feet with pre-approval!
Details:
Everyone attending needs to register regardless of whether that person is flying or not. Your registration covers land use fees, porta-potties and other expenses.
There will be a porta potty on site but water will not be available. You need to bring your own.
Camping at the launch site is allowed. There are also many options for accommodations in Green River, UT and Moab, UT.
Everyone coming will be expected to help set up, tear down, and run the launch.
All those attending the launch are expected to have a great time and to be safe.
Please register TODAY if you are planning on going. Don't worry, if you register and the launch is canceled for any reason UROC will provide a full refund. This helps us with an accurate head count for planning.
If you want a T-Shirt, please register no later than 4/24 to have one guaranteed.
All attendees, flying or just spectating, must sign a
UROC Launch Liability Waiver. You can print and sign before and bring to the launch if you'd like.
We have a standing waiver to 24,000' AGL. We also have windows we can open to 100,000' AGL. Please let us know in advanced if you plan on using that.
"Sparky" motors are allowed at this launch.
UROC's Motor and all Rocketry Vendor DAS Rockets will be at the launch, however, will not have his whole trailer. If you need a motor for this launch, please reach out to Tim ASAP and arrange purchase before.

Directions to the Launch Site:
From Green River, UTAH
1) Please navigate to South Airport Road that Turns off of Green River Ave.
2) Travel down South Airport Road for 2.4 Miles.
3) LEFT TURN onto South Lower San Rafael Rd. There is a sign there. This road is also known as County Road 1010.
4) Travel on South Lower San Rafael Rd for approximately 9 miles. At 8.5 miles you'll pass by Horse Bench Reservoir. About 0.5 miles after Horse Bench Reservoir the road will "Y". Stay Right. S Lower San Rafael Rd will continue to the left at this "Y". You're going right.
5) Continue approximately 0.5 miles. Turn Right onto new road (no name).
6) We are approximately 0.25 miles down this road.

Horse Bench Reservoir as the location. You'll follow County Road 1010 which is also know as South Lower San Rafael Road.
After arriving at Horse Bench Reservoir, continue down S Lower San Rafael Road about another 1/2 a mile. There will be a "Y" in the road with a road heading off to the right. South Lower San Rafael Road will continue to the left. Take the road to the Right (un-named).
Continue down this road approximately another 0.5 miles and there will another road you can turn right onto.
We are approximately 0.25 miles down this road.

Restrictions:
At ALL TIMES, including retrieving rockets, only travel on existing marked trails/roads. No off-roading is allowed.
Campfires are allowed
ONLY if built and contained in a fire pan and at least 6 inches off of the ground. Coals and ashes must be crushed, sifted, scattered so that there is no visual evidence of the fire. Otherwise they must be removed from the property.
There may NOT be any human or animal waste (fecal mater) left on the lands. It 100% must be contained and removed from the lands.
Leave No Trace: We will leave the land "better than we found it". What you pack in, pack it out. Please no trash left of any kind and be conscious to prevent trash from blowing away.
