On May 24th, members of the Utah Rocketry Club (UROC) came together to support an exciting educational event at Bear River Elementary. Organized by David Anisman, Jed Marti, Bob Morstadt, and Rob and Judy Hansen, the team volunteered their time and expertise to help students launch an impressive total of 96 rockets!
The event kicked off at noon, with students eagerly anticipating the chance to see their rockets soar into the sky. The three UROC members were on hand to guide the students through the launch process, ensuring safety and sharing their knowledge about rocketry. The team managed the event smoothly, but their call for additional support didn't go unheard. The spirit of community and cooperation shone through as other club members stepped up to assist.
Throughout the day, rockets of all shapes and sizes took to the skies, each launch met with cheers and excitement from the students and volunteers alike. The Bear River Elementary launch was more than just a series of rocket flights; it was an inspiring opportunity to engage young minds in the world of rocketry, sparking curiosity and encouraging future exploration of science and engineering.
