First Aid Training Course for UROC Members

The Utah Rocket Club (UROC) is excited to offer a First Aid Training Course exclusively for its members! This essential training session will equip you with crucial first aid skills, ensuring you are prepared for emergencies during our rocket launches and other activities.

Our comprehensive curriculum will focus on familiarization with basic first aid techniques. While we are not providing official CPR/BLS certification, we will include a demo of basic CPR for both adults and children. Additional topics covered in this training session include:

- Basic burn management
- Simple sprains and fracture management
- Insect and reptile bites
- Hyper- and hypothermia recognition and management
- Chest pain
- Blunt trauma
- A demonstration of tourniquet use

Our activities often take place in hostile environments far from immediate emergency response, making it crucial to understand how to handle injuries on-site. This training will provide you with the knowledge and confidence to manage emergency situations until professional help arrives.

Attendance Limit: 20 participants
Cost: Free (covered by UROC)

We encourage only serious members to sign up, as we have limited spots available. This is a valuable opportunity to gain essential first aid knowledge that could make a significant difference in emergency situations.
